A PERSONAL APPROACH

Hello, I’m Daniel.

I’m a guitarist, composer, producer and music educator with a degree in Popular Music and many years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults, both in schools and privately.

My background brings together guitar tuition, songwriting, music technology and professional composition. That means we can explore the instrument in a way that connects with your wider musical interests.

Above all, I want lessons to feel welcoming. My approach is patient and encouraging, helping you build skills and confidence while enjoying what you play.

Starting something new comes with questions. Here are a few helpful places to begin.

Ask me something else
Do I need my own guitar?

Having a guitar to practise on between lessons is helpful. If you don’t have one yet, get in touch before buying and we can discuss a suitable starting point. Instrument loan options are to be confirmed.

Am I too old to start learning?

No. Adults are welcome whether you’re completely new to the guitar or returning after a break. We’ll begin where you are and work at a comfortable pace.

What age can children begin lessons?

I have experience teaching primary and secondary school-aged children and am fully DBS checked. Please share your child’s age and any musical experience so we can discuss a suitable starting point.

Do I need to read music?

No previous music reading is needed to get started. We can introduce chord diagrams, guitar tablature and musical ideas as they become useful.

Can I learn songs I enjoy?

Absolutely. Your musical interests help shape the lessons. We can choose songs you enjoy and adapt them to your current playing level.

How long are lessons?

Lessons are available in 30-minute or 45-minute sessions. We can discuss which length would suit the student’s age, experience and goals.

Do you teach acoustic and electric guitar?

Yes, both acoustic and electric guitar tuition are available. We can focus on the instrument and music that interest you.
